The Korea Banking Institute held the 『Seminar on Financial Development in Asia and Korea』 for high-level officials in Asia starting from Nov 5 to 9, 2018.
Organized by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and KBI, twenty-two high-level officials from nine ASEAN member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) and six Central Asian countries (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) participated in the seminar.
This five days seminar covered various topics including 『Global Financial Safety Net and Asian Regional Safety net』, 『Korean Economic Growth: a brief review』, 『Monetary Policy Framework of Bank of Korea』, 『Global Financial Trends and Korea's Credit Cycle Experience』, 『A new future in finance for SMEs』. 『Digital Disruption in Banking』, and 『Korean Experience of Securities Market Development』. Also Participants explored industrial sites and appreciated the Korean traditional culture and history through heritage tours.
The seminar has been \evaluated to make significant contributions to economic cooperation among the Asian countries as well as strengthen financial cooperation in the region.

Organized by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and KBI, twenty-three mid-level officials from eight ASEAN member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) and five Central Asian countries (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) participated in the seminar.

The Korea Banking Institute (KBI) concluded an MOU with the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies.
KBI has concluded an MOU on 5th May on promoting mutual collaboration on financial education with the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies.

KBI has concluded an MOU on 13th April on promoting mutual collaboration on financial education with the Indonesian Banking Development Institute.
2017.11.14The Korea Banking Institute (KBI) provided ‘Branch Management Program' to Xac Bank, one of the biggest bank in Mongolia from April 3 to 7. It is the very first time for KBI to visit abroad to offer training for local staffs of overseas organization.
Thirty brach managers from Xac Bank had been trained during one week and the program mainly covered Operational management, Risk Management & Internal Controls, Sales, Service and Relationship, Planning and Budgeting, Financial Management, Leadership and Coaching.
